RuleCoach Privacy Policy

Information RuleCoach Processes
RuleCoach processes the baseball-rules questions you enter so it can select and explain the applicable rule. The app also processes your selected authority, competition, age group, and division.
Anonymous Analytics
When Share Anonymous Analytics is enabled, RuleCoach may send the following information to a Cloudflare-hosted service:
- Redacted question text
- Matched rule identifier and answer outcome
- Confidence and coverage-gap reason
- Selected ruleset context
- App version, build number, and rules dataset fingerprint
- Answer response time
RuleCoach does not send your name, account information, contacts, precise location, advertising identifier, or a persistent user or device identifier for analytics.
Redaction
Before analytics are queued, RuleCoach removes common email addresses, phone numbers, and web addresses and limits question text to 500 characters. Please avoid entering personal or confidential information in a rules question.
AI Explanation Processing
For eligible exact-match answers, RuleCoach may send the question, deterministic ruling, explanation, and a limited rule excerpt through the RuleCoach Cloudflare Worker to OpenAI to generate an optional coach-facing summary. The deterministic rule selection remains the source of truth.
Storage and Retention
RuleCoach keeps a bounded local diagnostic history and pending upload queue on your device for no more than 30 days. Uploaded analytics are retained for up to 90 days and are used to identify rule-coverage gaps, answer-quality issues, and performance problems.
Cloudflare and OpenAI process data as service providers for the functions described above. RuleCoach does not store IP addresses in its telemetry database.
Your Choices
You can disable Share Anonymous Analytics at any time from Coach's Guide → About. Turning it off clears analytics waiting to upload and prevents new analytics events from being queued. This setting does not disable RuleCoach's core rules features or the optional OpenAI coach-summary processing described above.
No Advertising or Tracking
RuleCoach does not sell personal information, display third-party advertising, or use collected information to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
